Relationship between lean production and operational performance in the manufacturing industry

Nowadays, more and more manufacturing firms have started to implement lean production system in theiroperations. The lean production is view as one of the mechanism to maintain the organization’s position and tocompete globally. However, many fail to apply the lean concepts successfully in their operations. Based on previousstudies, implementation of lean production in the manufacturing industry is more focus on the relationship betweenLean and Operational Performance of one dimension only. Therefore, this study attempted to examine therelationship between Lean Production (LP) and Performance Operation of various dimensions. This study employedquantitative study using questionnaires. Data was collected from 50 manufacturing industries. The data wasanalysed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). This study is hoped to shed new understanding of the conceptof Lean Production (LP)
